July club meeting

In light of the recent issues I have gathered up some donated beer for this months meeting. Boneyard graciously donated a 1/6th barrel of Bone-a-fide pale ale, wich we will be judging. Bend Brewing Company is donating a growler of there new pilsener just tapped today. Mike "Curly" White is donating 2 growlers of sesonals.Bend Brew fest will also be making a donation tonight. Remember as we sample these brews to take a minute...Look at the beer..how does it look?.....Take in the aroma on first approach..How does it smell?.....Savor the first drink.........How does it taste?
You be the judge, but what your going to find is it taste like BEER! Wether it was brewed in a crock pot on a stove or on a 30bbl JV system we all started with the same ingredients and someone put alot of hard work into their creation! Beer is love!

Cheers!

Recent OLCC issues & Priorities!

There has been alot of talk about the brew club having issues with the OLCC!
Online I have heard alot of great sugestions on how we should conduct meetings!
A few "online" members have volunteered their homes to host meetings!
But what i'm really hearing is "ah, we can't drink our homebrew!"
COHO is a large club with great attendence, and not all of COHO's patrons have the internet, some don't live in bend. It seems to me but everyone needs to think about the priority here and it's not about secretly dinking homebrew, the priority is being able to drink homebrew the way we have for years past. I really think as COHO President that the meeting should be conducted at the brewshop WITHOUT THE HOMEBREW!
Not having the homebrew drives home what the real issues are here and will hopefully get people to take action! Most importantly it's very important to the future of the club that as many people as possible know about this! Remember strength in numbers!

Thank You
