It is my pleasure to announce the winner in Best of Show for the 2011 COHO Spring Fling will be brewed at Silver Moon Brewing and will be served at Bend Brewfest, The Brew Shop, Abbey pub, Bend Brew Werks, and Silver Moon!

ALSO there is a large assortment of schwag and prizes from breweries around the state in all judged categories! So be sure to get your entries in to The Brew Shop before Friday May 27th at 6pm!

Our Monthly COHO Meeting is coming up Wednesday June 15th and we are back at The Brew Shop! Brett will be teaching QC/QA, we will be covering Spring Fling results,club raffle, having some great food along with some great Homebrew!

2011 Bend Brewfest August 18-20th
COHO has been invited back to Bend Brewfest for 2011 and it's going to be bigger than ever! Get ready this should pose to be a lot of fun!

2010:Good Morning Fellow Fish........Bend Brewfest 2010 was a huge success!!!
I want to thank Lee, Lloyd, Brian, Muara, Chana, Bruce and everyone else that made it out this weekend, I got alot of positive feedback.Marney and the guys at bend brewfest were very happy with our participation and invited us to come back next year. They have also offered COHO the use of the white house behind the amphitheatre for coho meetings and some events during their off season. The white house has ample parking, two rest rooms, fridges and I think a mini kitchen, OH and did I mention it's on Private Property!
The brew demonstration went very well! We were brewing a Belgian wit that was Projected at a 1.050 we shot a 1.055 and about 15bu. Here is the recipe we used
10 gal batch Calculated eff 70% Actual eff 75% Mashed @ 152 70min
50% Pilsner malt
40% White wheat
5% Munich
5% Flaked Oats
1 oz Tettnanger 60min
1 oz Tettnanger 30min
Wyeast 3944 Belgian Wit
We plan on picking blackberries at Hop Madness for the secondary and it will be called Black & Wit. So I encourage COHO to pick some blackberries and get creative!
