This months Group Brew will be this Saturday, January 5th at Marlowe Manor (please don’t mess around with the glass egg on the mantle). Geoff Marlowe will be hosting the event and we will be brewing a strong Scotch ale on the Wort Hawg. Thanks to Chris Kate for volunteering to bring his system to brew on. The specifics of the recipe are still being worked out and will be posted soon. Anybody have any thoughts, ideas or experience they would like to contribute to the recipe?

There‘s good shelter from the elements in Geoff’s garage, so bring some snacks and a sample of your latest brew for what is guaranteed to be a great time. The burners will fire up around 10:30AM. See you there.

Greeting fellow fish,

We'll be having our monthly meeting this Wednesday, at 6:30PM, at the Brew Shop. We'll be "sampling" COHO Blackfish lager, which has turned out almost like a Schwarzbier as far as I can tell. I'm curious to see how it stands up to Silver Moon's very tasty, exceptionally well made Schwarzbier. We have plenty of things to discuss such as our huge barrel aged beer project, the KLCC competition, and our upcoming COHO Spring Fling homebrew competition and related workshops. I'm not sure what we're doing for food, but I do have six bags of chips that were donated to the club, so perhaps some type of dips would be appropriate? As always we'll be having our raffle, so bring out something good to donate to the cause. Hope to see everyone on Wednesday evening.
