The brew will be at my new residence, 1983 NE Jackson Avenue, and we'll bq. This weekend's brew will also serve as our unofficial COHO de Mayo party. bq. Brett Writes: bq. Just wanted to give you a reminder that out monthly meeting is coming up this Wednesday, at 6:30PM, at the Brew Shop. We'll have a couple of different COHO beers to sample, Crystal Red Persausion and Chiswick's Bitter. I'm sure that the Food Committee will bring some tasty nibbles, but please bring some homebrews for everyone to sample, and some donations for the raffle. We have a few great leftovers from the Spring Fling to throw in to the raffle, so come on out and buy some tickets. We'll also have ribbons and paperwork from the Spring Fling, so track down one of the execs if you're looking for anything. Also, we'll have a quick round table about hop farming to see how everyone is doing with their rhizomes. I'll also update everyone about some upcoming events, hop madness and BBF included. Brett writes: bq. Greetings fellow fish, bq. We'll be having our monthly group brew this Sunday at Jerry O's beautiful residence on the south side of town. The brew will begin at 10:30AM. We've dug a recipe out of the COHO archives, dating back to the first group brew we had at Jerry's house. We'll be seeing a return of the Big Beaver Pale Ale. Big Beaver is a refreshing American style pale, here's the specifics - bq. 20 lbs American 2 row bq. OG should be around 1.050, with about 40 IBUs. This should be a great, easy drinking summer beer. Jerry says he might have a keg of IPA on tap by the time Sunday rolls around, but I encourage all of you to bring a couple of homebrews with you for sampling. I'd also encourage everyone to bring some chairs if they plan on sitting, as this seems to be a recurring problem at our brews. Jerry says he'll work on some chili, and I'll be bringing some queso dip. We hope to see everyone on Sunday - come on out, the weather should be great! bq. BT | ||
