10 Barrel Pub opener 2/22/10

We got there late because we ran out of gas on the way there, but service was good, swift. We ordered a pizza but it was late because they burned it, so I ordered the Grilled Chicken Spinach salad. Service on the salad was very quick, and it was delicious! the dried cherries with the mozzarella really made the salad, and there was copious amounts of chicken, cold so they spinach didn't wilt. And just as I was finishing the salad the pizza arrived. It was VERY good!

Now the beer. Well I got the sampler as I am wont to do on most new-pub excursions. They didn't have the bourbon-aged which was a disapointment because I love them, but other than that the beers were very good. I especially liked the Strong Ale and the IPA and I'm not a big IPA fan. Sorry I didn't take more notes, but I would recommend going there. The inside of the pub has a nice simple decor with good materials, wood and metal, and there is a nice patio with garage-styled doors that can be opened in the summer. I look forward to heading down there after floating the river!

Holiday Ale Festival

Don't forget the Holiday Ale Festival is coming up the end of November, and first part of December! Hopefully, I will have my Hopmadness Ballatine IPA clone finished by then! I'll be looking forward to seeing some of you there, until then, brew on :)

Prost!
